ZimPraise wont 'steal' artists again - Madziyire

Interdenominational praise and worship group ZimPraise is set to establish 'Schools of Worship' around the country, according to the group's chief executive officer Joseph Madziyire.

Speaking at fellow Zimpraise member Shyleen Maningi's Rock Of Ages DVD filming event at Gweru Theatre, Madziyire said they were now 'tired' of attempting to incorporate every good musician they come across with into ZimPraise.

"We are no longer 'stealing' musicians into our fold but are now offering support. This will be through our Schools Of Worship in Harare, Gweru and Bulawayo, " Madziyire told hundreds of gospel music lovers who attended the event.

Also present were musicians Olinda Marowa, Pastor Mareyanadzo and Maureen Sifelani.

Zimpraise choir director Wellington Kwenda burst out his usual gospel energy as he partnered local group Joyful Praise, led by Gamaliel Madindi, to send everyone in the auditorium asking for more.

According to Maningi, the DVD album will be ready end of March. - Gweru Today
