Media ministry information officer Zhou 'dies in his sleep'

Yassini Zhou, the Gweru District lnformation Officer with the Ministry of Media, Information and Broadcasting Services, is no more.

According to the Gweru Press Club, where Zhou was a respected member, the like-able cadre "bade us farewell in his sleep in the early hours of 8 October 2015."

Further informed the journalist grouping: "The press club would remember Cde Zhou as a reserved fellow who was an oasis of wisdom and always ready to assist with diaries and logistics when duty called.

"He was colleague who was a great participant at many press club meetings and whose contributions added value to discussions.

"Cde Zhou will be fondly missed.

"As Gweru Press Club we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the Zhou family over the sad loss.
 
May his soul rest in eternal peace."

According to his Facebook profile, Zhou studied at the University of Zimbabwe, Harare Polytechnic, as well as the Indian Institute of Mass Communications.
