Prison officer clings under car to prevent council from taking away his car

Watch the drama on Nhasi muGweru on You Tube!!!

Never mess with military men!

A senior prison officer who was travelling to a funeral service became an instant hero when he dashed under a Gweru municipal hauling truck and clung underneath in an apparent suicide attempt following the clamping of his car.

The incident occurred from around 1100AM up to 1239PM, just about the time it takes to watch an action movie!

Vendors who operate along Main Street at Nyaningwe supermarket told this reporter that hell broke loose when council swooped on the jailer’s white Mazda Demio  (registration number ADE 4476) and clamped it, before attempting to haul the vehicle to their stores building along Bristol Road.

To get his car back, the ZPS would have to fork out around $60, and he had to borrow stuntman prowess and dash under the car!

In a few minutes the still unidentified man had won the sympathy of the vendor community who were shouting “Ndivo varume vatinoda! (Now that is what we call me!) Muitei councillor! (Vote him into council!) Mupei sando dzake! (He deserves to be saluted) ..and such comments

Photos, video,…and more to come
