Mabvuku-Tafara legislator James Maridadi's pint-sized music promoter son Tafadzwa, was remanded in custody by a Gweru magistrate following a case in which he received payment and never brought gospel musician Matthias Mhere for the show as planned.
Although prosecutors handling the case today were not cooperative, sources at the Gweru law courts said Maridadi received part payment from Midlands Agricultural Show manager Victoria Chikukwa, after which the two parties agreed that Maridadi, a prominent Harare promoter who has since relocated to Kwekwe, would facilitate that gospel star Mhere and his group perform at the popular annual event.
However Maridadi reportedly went away and did not engage Mhere as planned.
Nothing is said to have been recovered.

Sources indicated that either Mhere, who grew up and was educated in the 'City of Progress,' or his promoter, will testify in court on the next trial date.
