Speaking at the Midlands Provincial Heroes acre at the burial of suspended ZANU PF Women's League secretary for administration Espina Nhari who died following a head-on collision in Kadoma on way to her University Of Zimbabwe weekend classes, Mnangagwa said Nhari was such a cadre, and he could count on her on anything they planned.

Mnangagwa chronicled how Nhari, whose father, Michael Musindo Nyashanu was an eminent political figure who served at Gonakudzingwa detention with his boss Joshua Nkomo, was born in 1954 and attended primary and secondary school at Amaveni.

Said Mnangagwa: "She was arrested in 1965 for a school political demonstration and did community service at Amaveni police station. She left the country to join the armed struggle in 1975 in Zambia where she joined fellow trainees at Mukushi under Zipra."

"Nhari was the attached to the Health (Medical) Corps. After the war she rose through the ranks of the party to become secretary for administration on the Women's League and a Central Committee member."
Said to be a member of Mnangagwa's Lacoste group Nhari was suspended after she chanted 'down with G40' at a First Lady Grace Mugabe rally in Masvingo.

However the Midlands godfather said the powerful Appeals Committee had recently been formed to look into such decisions. The National Disciplinary Committee (NDC) is chaired by Vice president Phelekezela Mpoko, considered a top G40 ally.

" We await the commitee's decision on Espina," said the Vice President.

Meanwhile Ngwena, as the vice president is known by his supporters, has openly expressed his curiosity over what really killed Nhari.

"After the accident, she is said to have gone into the hospital on her own and told nurses what had happened, only for us to get news that she had died. Takatomirira post mortem," said Mnangagwa.

Members of the ZANU PF Youth League continuously chanted the 'down with G40' slogan, and only stopped when the VIPs arrived.
