Unprotected sex Mkoba maniac bashes prostitute

A Gweru man employed by the agriculture ministry as a veterinary officer was on Monday fined for assaulting a prostitute in a row over a condom.

Robert Chiadzwa of Mkoba 15, Gweru assaulted Cloepatra Nyoni with open hands and a chain after their 'business arrangement' collapsed over using a condom.

Gweru magistrate, Judith Taruvinga fined Chiadzwa $100 or 30 days in jail in the event he failed to pay the money.

Prosecutors told the court that on 25 June this year at 0200hrs Chiadzwa approached Nyoni at Mpambadzire Nite Club in Mkoba 6 where asked for sex.

After an agreement the two went to Nyoni's place of residence for “business”.

An argument however ensued after Chiadzwa allegedly refused to wear a condom and demanded his money back.

When Nyoni refused to give back the money Chiadzwa assaulted her with open hands and a chain all over the body and she sustained bruises on her face and left hip.

The complainant’s landlady, Mercy Gazimbi intervened to stop the scuffle and a report was made to the police leading to Chiadzwa’s arrest. - New Zimbabwe
